An immigrant accent

Where are you from? That's the first question you expect from everyone here. Why? Because does't matter how much are you trying to hide your origin under an anonymous style, everyone will get it as soon as you open your mouth.

You are not trying to hide origin to deny something, of course not! It's just dramatically boring repeat always the same story again: where are you from? do you like here? which part of your country? how long have you been here? your country is so nice why did you left?...

I start to say my story that is quite boring I guess and doesn't satisfy any exotic dream or adventure. What make me feel so bad is that the first thing they see in me is an immigrant but I could have much more to say.

Next time I should answer: Yes I love this new country as so many opportunity and meritocracy.  By the way you know that 40% of under 25 doesn't work in my country???. Yes, I have a funny accent. Could you stop remind me and talk about something else?

What will happen: my accent will persecute me forever and I will always tell the same story.
